Crappie fillets - 5 lbs

My only recommendation would be instead of shipping in a 5-lb. bulk, if you shipped 5, 1-lb packages it would make storage a lot easier.

While the taste is OK but much more subdued than the crappie of the midwest US, 90% of the fillets are bait size rather than the legal size required in most US states. After spending over an hour finishing the filleting of the attached skin from the minute pieces, I finally had 40 tiny fillets, enough for a meal. The few 4 oz fillets in the box were acceptable but drowned out by the difficulty skinning the dozens of bait fillets. It would have been soooooo easy for the processors to simply flip their fillet knife over and slice the skin off like I do when cleaning the crappie just at the tail before the skin is severed, but instead the chore falls to the buyer to try to grab a corner to the skin and attempt to peel it off the thawed fillets, now firmly adherent due to the freezing.

Hadn't been able to get crappies in years. Came across this website and couldn't pass up the opportunity. Crappies is my favorite fish, so although the price was a bit expensive it was well worth it. Delicious!!!

Very pleased with the filets. Both size and variety of sizes.

The product came in excellent shape. I just wish they were skinless but I knew that when I ordered it. Have not tried any yet.

After a fiasco with the initial order, all on the part of UPS delaying delivery thereby ruining the ordered product, Walleye Direct issued a replacement order that couldn't have been more perfect. Arrived timely, product still frozen and UPS met the two day mail time with hours to spare. I would wholehearted recommend Walleye Direct. My 80+ year old Uncle loves crappie and can't wait to have some for his next dinner. I would not hesitate to order additional products from this company. They stand behind what they sell and provide excellent service.

This is my reminder of home and nothing taste better than fish with friends and family.

Good favor, but found some bones

some bones in these fillets, I would prefer they do a better job filleting them as I want boneless fillets. These Fillets after taking remaining bones out, do taste good.

Fish arrived in good condition, still frozen like they never left the freezer. I am very satisfied with the way they arrived and the condition of the fish. Very good quality. I had forgotten how great they tasted. I will be buying more. They were just as advertised only better.

I love to fish but no longer have the time and with current creel limits it would take even more time and money to catch 5 lbs of good crappie filets. Although I ordered with skepticism, I could not be more pleased with the service of Walleye Direct and the quality of the product I received. I've not had crappie in years and these reminded me of when my father and I would catch some and have a feast with my mother. I highly recommend the crappie and just recently received walleye filets ---- we cannot get walleye in the south so these were a real treat.

As soon as I start to get low on my Walleye, Crappie, & Wild Rice I'll be sending in for another order. Come on guys, get some Lake Perch (Yellow Perch) I'm going to order 11lbs. when you do!

The fish arrived super quick!! The fish fillets are on the medium to small large size. They fried up super, fresh and tasty!! I'll be back!!

Crappie fillets were great . Easy to fry and tasted great. I would recommend.
