Your fish is sourced from the crystal-clear lakes of Canada, where it is promptly processed and individually quick-frozen (IQF) to lock in peak freshness. The fillets are an ideal size for serving, with each pound comfortably feeding two people, making meal planning simple and convenient.
These are flash frozen and you will receive it exactly like it looks in the picture. The advantage with this packaging is that you can easily take one or two fillets out of the box to thaw out for a meal.
This is the way we used to sell all walleye when we started as this is most common in this market and some prefer this method This means that each fillet is frozen by itself with a light water only glaze on it and stored together in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. Restaurants prefer this way and this is how they are usually sold in the market.

How it tastes
Walleye are regarded as the best tasting freshwater fish in the world prized by anglers for its tender flaky meat. It is not very fishy.
Ways to cook
One of the best ways to cook walleye is by pan-searing it until golden brown, which enhances its natural taste. Baking walleye with lemon slices and fresh herbs is another excellent method. Grilling walleye also works wonderfully, giving it a smoky and slightly charred taste.
