Frozen Rainbow Trout fillets-- 10 pound package of 8 ounce portions. Frozen, farm raised but these are as close to wild-caught as you can find for trout. The mountain stream in Idaho is diverted to the farm where they are raised. Please note that they may be more expensive that competitors as the head is removed as well as all the bones and this is the best rainbow trout you can find. 20 clear-cut butterfly fillets. Head, tail, fins off, bones removed, skin-on. To make truly boneless fillets, we take the added step of trimming the belly flap (removing the pelvic fins and tail), cutting out the dorsal fin and making a "V" cut to remove the pin bones. Rainbow Trout is the most popular freshwater fish in the US so we had to find the best source for our customers.
