Shipping Charges and Options

All charges are determined directly from the UPS website based on the customer's address and the costs are passed directly on to the customer with no markup. Because fish is a perishable food item we recommend Overnight delivery and guarantee the product will arrive frozen. However, we know that can get expensive and offer 2nd day air delivery without warranty.

Using 2nd day air, WalleyeDirect.com assumes no liability for packages that arrive with unusable product and consider the warranty void. Now that the legal part has been stated, we have been able to work with customers that will work with us when using 2-day delivery.

Estimated Shipping Times

Our cutoff time is 10 am Central to get an order out that day

To ensure that your fish is never sitting in a warehouse over the weekend 2 day packages are shipped out only on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursdays only overnight shipments go out.

Holidays--if UPS is closed, we are closed. Likewise if overnight or 2 day will result in a weekend stay in a warehouse, the order will be held until the next week.

Christmas week--Please schedule delivery the week before if possible as UPS is very busy and does not guarantee any delivery times.

UPS Next Day Air: This refers to UPS's service level-this does not mean you will have your package the next day-see above. UPS Next Day orders are expected to be delivered by noon of day after the date it's shipped. Technically they have until end of business day.

UPS Next Day Air Saver: This refers to UPS's service level-this does not mean you will have your package the next day-see above. UPS Next Day Air Saver are expected to be delivered the next day from the date it was shipped. They have all day and that can mean after business hours so be patient and check the tracking number I send to your email.

UPS 2 Day Air: This refers to UPS's service level-this does not mean you will have your package in exactly 2 days-see above. UPS 2 Day Air shipments are expected to be delivered two days after the day it is shipped according to the guidelines above. A commercial location can expect this in the morning, residential it can be after business hours so check tracking numbers if you are waiting.

Tips for best results:

UPS delivers to commercial locations first so if you want to have the package delivered to your workplace or office, you are likely to get your package sooner.

Tuesday is our best day to ship your order since Monday is busy with the orders from the weekend before and mistakes are more likely when very busy. The Wednesday 2 day shipments are delivered on Friday-but any problems push it to the following Monday-usually not a good result. So if you do not need your order any particular day-order anytime and request for us to ship on a Tuesday.

UPS drivers are instructed to leave the package at the door if no one is home.

Packaging

WalleyeDirect.com has worked with many different packaging options to ensure that your fish arrives perfect every time. Our products are in wrapped in plastic then surrounded in dry ice or gel packs. Then depending on the size of the order, it will be placed in EPS styrofoam containers and sealed. The outer shell is a plain cardboard box for shipping. There is no receipt inside the package so recipients of gifts will not know the price of the package, but also will not know who sent them the package. Your receipt is sent to you automatically via email at time of purchase.
